Seabuck Thorn Oil is made by cold pressing the seeds of the Seabuck Thorn berries and seeds.Sea buckthorn oil is a popular alternative remedy for a variety of ailments. It is rich in many nutrients and may improve the health of your skin liver and heart. It may also help protect against diabetes and aid your immune system Very few side effects from sea buckthorn have been reported. In some people who had high blood pressure<, swelling, headache, dizziness and palpitations were noted. When used on the skin to treat burns, it sometimes caused a rash.
Atopic dermatitis: 5 g day of seed or pulp for 4 months. Cardiovascular risk factors: Oil or air-dried berries (equivalent to approximately 100 g day fresh berries); or 300 mL of juice over 8 weeks. Dry eye: 1 g twice daily for 3 months. Liver disease: 15 g 3 times daily of sea buckthorn extract for 6 months.Sea buckthorn oil is a red orange oil derived from sea buckthorn plants. The most commonly used species for this purpose is Hippophae rhamnoides. Species belonging to this genus accumulate lipids in the mesocarp (the fruit pulp), so the oil can be extracted from either the seeds or the pulp.
